SAS Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4 is the November 2021 release of this SAS Health and Life Sciences solution offering.

This release introduces a number of requested features and enhancements.

Key features are listed below.

 

SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.4

This release provides the following enhancements:

  • Published jobs
    • ability to determine whether files associated with jobs, such as inputs and outputs or the job itself, have changed since the job was last run; specific details are reported in a new Health Status dialog
  • Data Frame Viewer
    • new viewer similar to the SAS Data Set Viewer provides the ability to view the contents of single data frame files (.RData, .rda) and multi data frame files (.rds)
  • Data Set Viewer
    • refactoring to support changes in the Session Editor and File Editor as well as for the Data Frame Viewer
  • Session and File Editors
    • refactoring for performance and maintenance
  • Membership Management
    • ability to add explicit members to groups and roles in a context where members are only granted implicit membership via a group
  • Process Flows
    • ability to add explicit members as candidates and notification recipients when the associated context’s members are only granted implicit membership via a group
  • Repository Ownership and Permission
    • ability to add explicit members as owners and to permissions when associated context’s members are only granted implicit membership via a group; ability to change ownership in the same manner from the Administrative Mode Ownership tool
  • Repository and Workspace
    • ability to create (via Repository contexts) shared workspaces that can be accessed in the workspaces of those users with access to associated context
    • resource utilization dashboard tile updated to show disk usage
  • Repository Search
    • refactored for usability
  • Auditing
    • file downloads from the workspace are now audited as well as from the repository; optionally, file downloads via the SAS® Drug Development Desktop Connection client might also be audited
  • File Comparison
    • ability to perform file comparison directly from the Checked-out Files view
  • System Name Configuration and Macro
    • a configurable system name can now be obtained via _SASINSTANCE_ (SAS session) and LSAF_INSTANCE (R session)
    • system name is also now reported in subscription and other automated system notifications
  • Clinical Data and Study Design
    • ability to lock study tables for editing by model type, as well as a continuation of refactoring that began in SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 5.3
  • General
    • the applications to be included on the left navigation pane are now customizable via preferences
